KStew Apologizes for Her Rape Comment

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has apologized for her recent rape comments. In a recent interview with Elle Magazine Stewart compared being hounded by the paparazzi to rape. There was immediate backlash for her choice of words.

"I really made an enormous mistake - clearly and obviously," Kristen Stewart, who is currently in Korea to promote the latest film in the Twilight Saga, Eclipse, told People Magazine. "And I'm really sorry about my choice of words."

"I've made stupid remarks before, and I've always reasoned: 'Whatever. They can think what they want,' " said Stewart, 20. In fact Kristen Stewart actually portrayed a rape victim in the 2004 film 'Speak.' She has done public service announcements for SOC and RAINN.

"People thinking that I'm insensitive about this subject rips my guts out. I made a big mistake," said Stewart. These comments are making headlines just as photos surfaced of Kristen Stewart on a hotel balcony cigarette in mouth, using both hands to flip annoying paparazzi the bird. So it hasn't been Stewart's week.

Kristen Stewart is currently making her rounds on the 'Eclipse' promotional tour with Taylor Lautner. Stewart's rumored boyfriend and co star Robert Pattinson has been absent due to filming for her new movie 'Water For Elephants.'

But the Twilight group will be reunited on Sunday. Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson are all scheduled to make an appearance at the 2010 MTV Movie awards. They will reportedly be revealing brand new 'Eclipse' footage to the fans. 'Eclipse' hits theaters on June 30th. The rest of Kristen Stewart's Summer will be spent filming her new movie 'On The Road' before returning in the Fall to film the final chapter of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn.
