Eclipse Will be Viewable in IMAX and Music Score is Complete!!

Are you on the edge of your seat waiting for the release of Twilight: Eclipse? You're not alone! The producers of the movie took to the web today to reveal progress being made for the movie's release on June 30th and there's some great news...

First, the all important score is in the can. That's significant because it indicates the final editing cut has been approved, And according to director David Slade on Twitter, it's everything we're used to and more. Moody, eerie and atmospheric, it's sure to send shivers up the spine. We all know that the scores for the previous entries in the series have all lent to the unique experience that is a Twilight movie.

But, most importantly, the film will be suitable for the IMAX treatment.

In the past, the IMAX versions have been in standard film format adapted to the IMAX playback projector. But this time, Hollywood News reports that "a special lens is used with the projector to allow for a standard movie picture to be shown on the larger screen.

So, if you saw 'Twilight' or 'New Moon' in an IMAX theater, it was simply blown up to show a larger version of the original. Films that are truly formatted for The IMAX Experience utilize special technology that allows the movie to be played on all planes of a semi-globular screen. So this year’s much-awaited release of 'Eclipse' will be an unprecedented event."

Huh? WTF does that mean? Who cares... they seem to know...

Robsten to Appear on Oprah on RPattz's BDay!!

Oprah Winfrey announced today that Twilight couple Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show to discuss their new movie, Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Just today, Oprah Winfrey premiered the Eclipse movie trailer. The show will air on May 13, the same day as Rob Pattinson's 24th Birthday!

According to Hollywood Life, Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will be joined by Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning. The group will be sharing secrets from the set of the upcoming movie, Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The movie premieres a month later on June 30.

Oprah made today's announcement at the end of her interview with actress Dakota Fannin, via skype.

RPattz, KStew, TLaut Nominated for National Movie Awards

"Twilight" is leading the pack at the National Movie Awards.

The films and stars have received five nominations for the British film awards, reports BBC News.

First up is the second installment of the series, "New Moon," which got a nod in the fantasy category. It will go up against "Alice in Wonderland" and "Avatar."

Also, stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, each earned nominations for their performances. They're up against another fantasy trio -- Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint from "Harry Potter."

Finally, "Eclipse" will vie for the award in the most anticipated summer film category against "Toy Story 3" and "The A-Team" reboot.

The Brit awards will be aired live on ITV1 in May.

Eclipse Soundtrack - June 8th Release

The soundtrack to the "Twilight: Eclipse" film will be released on June 8, according to Amazon.

Atlantic/Chop Shop has confirmed the date, though a rep did not indicate what artists have and will make the cut.

Muse has been the oft-repeated rumored artist to be included, considering the band contributed track to the first two "Twilight" films. However, Muse drummer Dominic Howard told Dose early last month that, while the band was prepping a "love song" for the release, it was ultimately dropped.

"It’s the people in the movie business -- completely outside of the writers and the creative types, the non-creative types I suppose -- are the people who are quite hard to deal with in Hollywood, so it didn’t work out," Howard said. The British space-rock outfit will hold on to the untitled track for a future release.

Adam Lambert threw his hat in the ring late last year as he released "For Your Entertainment," saying his song "Suburban Decay" would fit perfectly into the vampire flick. No word yet what the "Twilight" music folks think of the submission.

Director David Slade is helming this effort, the third movie in the "Twilight" series, and Alexandra Patsavas is back as music supervisor; their favorite acts may be the next to hop on the soundtrack series, so somebody tap into their iPods, already.

The last two "Twilight" soundtracks -- the first film and sequel "New Moon" -- both went multi-platinum.

"Twilight Saga: Eclipse" is due in theaters June 30.

Robsten Impersonated on SNL

Ryan Phillippe -- still best known as the former Mr. Reese Witherspoon -- was handed hosting duties of Saturday Night Live last night for some reason (apparently Carrot Top was busy?) and rolled out an impersonation of Twilight Saga star Robert Pattinson in a sketch entitled "Mort Mort Feingold: Accountant to the Stars."

The set-up finds Andy Samberg's elderly Feingold giving money advice to everyone from Kristen Wiig's Kate Gosselin and Jason Sudeikis' Mel Gibson to Phillippe's sulky, slouchy, sideburned Pattinson, sitting alongside one of the SNL cast members (Abby Elliott? Jenny Slate? Their separate identities still haven't cohered for me, sorry) as Kristen Stewart.

Not bad, for the most part (and certainly better than Ke$ha's train-wreck musical appearances), but the sight of Phillippe -- whose long string of hits range from 54 and Antitrust to Breach and Stop-Loss -- parodying megawatt Pattinson is a little discombobulating. Then again, with a few more Remember Mes and Little Asheses on his resume, R-Pattz might be hosting SNL and making fun of Justin Bieber any day now.

Why was Phillippe hosting SNL? For the very good reason that he's featured in the forthcoming MacGruber movie, alongside the title character played by SNL's Will Forte and the omnipresent Wiig. That doesn't open until May 21, of course, and little if any attention will be paid Phillippe once it does, but then Lorne Michaels has always had an odd relationship with the concept of synergy.

Robsten Together in LA!!

Robert Pattinson has just signed on to the cast of WATER FOR ELEPHANTS based on Sara Gruen's novel of the same name--which will be shot in Los Angeles this summer. So what are our favorite TWILIGHT:ECLIPSE pair going to do? They're always looking for some alone time but if their good luck in work and these fans have anything to do with it, they will never find it! How do TWILIGHT; ECLIPSE stars (and moving target lovers) Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart find any opportunities to work on their relationship if they are constantly in thrall to their fans and their agents and the endless projects they're working on . . . after Kristen celebrated her 20th birthday with RPatz in Budapest, you would think the two would be inseparable. Supposedly, they spend a lot of time texting and Skyping and hoping for some more down time when they can grab it.

What must it be like to be bombarded by fans like these at every turn? To know that your face and its proximity to other humans can turn a quiet mall courtyard into a screaming fanfest that requires police protection? It must be weird but, as the kids from other very popular pop culture franchises know, like HARRY POTTER or GOSSIP GIRL, the alternative is not worth it!

Who is the most famous person you ever got photographed with? We'd love to know! I do have an audiotape from the time I got to interview George Clooney--it's not a picture but I make him laugh! Does that count?
